2011 Los Feliz Lion's Club Benefit
Saturday May 22, 2011 at the Dresden Rest.in Hollywood, The Blues Merchants once again traveled across the pond to do the annual Los Feliz Lion's Club Benefit. This time we were join by our good friends Mike Grange, Al Rappaport and local guitarist and Lion's Club Member Jeff. We also had the pleasure this year of playing with drummer Craig Pilo as Joe Caliva was in Italy that weekend. Special thanks to Ron, Dawn, Vern, Will, Mike, Glenn & Jeff as well as the Band: Vern, Dave, Freddie, Craig & Al for a great performance. Thanks to all our friends that dropped by that day including Spencer Davis & June Duante.

Reunion at the Marlin Club
On March 25th The Blues Merchants with Special Guest Vern Altieri performed at the world famous Marlin Club on Catalina Island. This was the first time we played together in 8 months. The house was packed and all of our old friends came out to support us. Thanks everybody for a great night!
Windrose Blues Cruise
On Friday April 1, 2011 Roger and the Blues Merchants will be joining Kenny Neal and Candye Kane for a 3-day Blues Cruise to Mexico aboard Carnival's "Windrose". The Blues in "Little Tokyo"
Well the band got a chance 2 weeks ago to get off the island and do the annual Lions Club Benefit at The Chop Suey Cafe in Downtown Los Angeles. This is our 5th year performing at the event. We were joined by our good friends Joey Stec (Blues Magoos), Joe Warez who flew out from Chicago just for the event as well as Dave Siebels on Hammond B-3 Organ, Mike Grange on guitar, Brian Stewart on guitar & vocals and a special guest appearence by the Christian Youth Band "Tess". Special thanks to Vern Altiera, Ron Wortman for the great sound and my band Vern Altiera, Freddie Chambers, Joe Caliva and all who helped make this year's fundraiser a reality. see you next year!!

Stoppin' at The Marlin
The Blues Merchants at the World Famous Marlin Club Friday night Mar. 19, 2010 with special guest star Mike Grange playing to a packed house. Mike turned heads as he joined the band for some orignal and traditional blues favorites.
